In October, November, and December, $1 from every book sold on Amazon, or at markets/bazaars, will go towards buying stuffed animals for a local organization called Candlelighters for Children with Cancer. Their Bedside Buddy program gives stuffed animals to children at Doernbecher Children’s Hospital or outpatient clinics who have been diagnosed with cancer. This is similar to the stuffed animals I received through Legacy Emanuel Children’s Cancer Program as a toddler. Since I was so young we weren’t in any of the Candlelighters programs, but my family used to get their newsletters in the mail (now it’s digital).
